Sync'r Pro

Building on the success of our low-slung and slack all-mountain hardtails, the Sync’r Pro takes the platform to an even higher level. The alloy frame features the same tapered and butted construction, but we’ve made a few changes to this flagship model to enhance performance even more: the rear end got a Boost compatible thru-axle for extra stiffness, the front end’s a little slacker and features a 130mm Fox 34, and the overall geometry is even more progressive. Combined with a Shimano XT 11-speed drivetrain and powerful hydraulic brakes, this black hardtail is anything but basic. Lightweight, tough, flickable, versatile: if any of these words pique your interest in a hardtail, the Sync’r Pro is the bike for you. Ready Ride bikes are shipped 95 percent assembled. Typical bike assembly is time-consuming and requires technical know-how. Ready Ride reduces the time and skills needed for the final, four-step assembly.

Overall Quality

I picked up a Sync'r Pro after nearly a 10 year hiatus on a mountain bike. While I was torn between a hardtail and a full suspension bike to begin revisiting mountain biking, I am happy that I gave this bike a shot. After looking into a few short reviews (Seth's Bike Hacks) I went with the Sync'r Pro. I've been putting in a few rides a week on the bike and I must say it is very responsive, quick, and rides great once you have your suspension dialed. The component setup on this bike alone makes it hard to beat (love the Shimano XT offering here) but you get so much for your money with Diamondback. The KS dropper is a DREAM to have, I'll never go back to a standard seat post again. While I am looking to pick up a full suspension bike, it will be in addition to the Sync'r Pro, I have no intentions of parting with this bike.

My only 'wish' for Diamondback's upper level offerings would be internal routing for cables, but that is likely the only thing I would change on their bikes.
