Serios AF

Time Trials and triathlons are won by determination and grit. Hours training in the saddle are worth the precious seconds shaved off race times. The engineers behind the Serios road bikes have put in their work, too. Going into the design process fresh, they discovered the prevailing conventions in aero bike design were flawed: thinner profiles are not necessarily better. By experimenting with new and unique shapes, they created a bike that sees up to half the drag of the competition. It looks different because it is different.

A Superbike Undeniably!

Review by Colin C

I bought this bike as a frameset (including the HED cockpit and DA brakes) and built it up with Force x1 groupset, and a Red Dzero power meter. For racing I've got a Jet disk/9 wheelset, and a cheaper Tokyowheels carbon wheelset for training and some Strava... Given, like most elite amateur racers, that I have a shop discount through my team for the components and build, this bike was much, much cheaper than any bike of comparable caliber.

I'm not a wind tunnel, but I can say this bike is a nice, fast bike. I really like my (more aero) x1 build, and the opinion of other riders is that they think using it on a TT bike is either brilliant or incredibly stupid. I could actually climb mountains with that setup, although since it is at 19.6 pounds, I think I'll stick with my Emonda for climbing. As with most TT bikes, it's a hassle to setup and maintain. I had a problem for a while getting the bike's massive stem properly adjusted. Geometry of the 56 cm frame for my 6'0'' height is extremely aggressive. I've got all three inches of spacers on it, and the saddle-bar drop is still over 12 cm. That's great for a competitive time trialist, but a new triathlete might find it a bit much.
Overall, it's a good looking bike. I admit at first I was skeptical about buying it, as it's not well known. If I had to guess (and my guess is probably close since my sister is on Rally Cycling) this bike was made exclusively for the needs of Diamondback-sponsored Optum, turned Rally Cycling, Pro Continental team and their rider Thomas Zirbel -especially for his hour record attempt.

I'm writing this review in the off chance another mere mortal considers this bike and finds information lack. It is definitely a great option, especially if you also have access to the Diamondback discounts...
