Podium Vitesse Disc

* Required Fields

The Podium Vitesse is as fast as it looks. Like all Podiums its frame and fork are hand built to be race-ready, constructed of hundreds of individual carbon fiber pieces. Each piece is carefully placed according to a design we perfected after hours in the wind tunnel with HED Cycling and KQ Studios, along with months of testing on the road with world class riders. The result is a bike that comes alive in sprints, responding instantly and efficiently when you need it. Its silky smooth ride has been enhanced in all conditions, thanks to the addition of Shimano hydraulic disc brakes.

The Vitesse is very aerodynamic too, cutting through the air with internal cable routing and tube shapes borrowed from our groundbreaking Serios TT bike. With HED Ardennes Plus LT Disc wheels and a full Shimano 2×11 Ultegra group, the Podium Vitesse is ready for race day.

Great for the price..

I've put over 5k on this bike and really enjoy climbing and sprinting on this frame. My only dig is the wheels. The are not OEM HED wheels, they are made in China with HED decals. The spoke tension on the front and rear wheels went out after the first 200 miles. The rear wheel dish was off by over an 1/8". I had a shop tension and dish the wheels. Over the past several months I have an annoying ping coming from the front wheel. No amount of lubricant seems to quiet the pinging. So, I've really ripped on the wheels, I'll stop now. If you're looking for a great frame and a nice Shimano Ultegra group, this is a bike for you. Cheers

Great bike, outstanding value

Overall Quality

I recently purchased the Podium Vitesse Disc, after riding it for over 300 miles (average 50-60 miles per ride) I truly believe this is an outstanding bike and a excellent value for the price. I did a lot of research about the Diamondback road bikes as they are traditionally a Mountain Bike company. I have owned Diamondback Mountain bikes for a long time and I am loyal to the brand because of quality and price point. Now, back to the Vitesse.....great bike and the components are at the top of the scale in the Shimano line. I did my research on every aspect and component on the bike, read official and non-official bike reviews and decided to purchase. The only item that I changed was the seat. The seat it comes with is a great seat and high quality, I only changed it because I am already used to a certain seat that I have been fitted for. I ride mainly on flat lands and do around 50-60 miles at a given time. The bike is very light (around 16-17lbs), handles like a champ, fast on the straightaways, nice confident turns. This past weekend I had the chance to take it into the hill country of Texas to see what it (and I) could do. Wow! I was extremely happy with this bike and how easy the hills were to attack. I rode with my normal crew, who are good riders and I normally stay within the pack. However, I found myself passing with ease and able to hold the speed. Of course take with a grain of salt as this bike is an upgrade for me. Now quality, the bike looks great (could be a bit more subdued on the giant logo), well put together and is as advertised. I ordered directly from the DB website and got the bike on time, well packaged, easy to assemble. I was happy that it came with 2 very nice water bottle holders, that saved me some money. I also bought the same grade/quality peddles for the bike so that I had all matching components. One caution for anyone buying a mail order bike (any bike) is that you need to be aware that there is always some adjustments that will need to be made. I chose to put 200 miles on the bike before I took it in to have it fined tuned. The tuning usually occurs in the bike shop when you buy a bike, but again this was mail order.
Overall, I could not be happier with the bike. The big plus is the price point. I was concerned because bikes of this quality from competitors are several hundreds of dollars more which made me skeptical but that was put to rest once I got and started riding the bike.
