Podium Equipe SRAM Disc

Do you dream of the epic mountain passes and fan lined promenades of big European stage races? The Podium Equipe exudes this spirit of competition. Designed in collaboration with some of the greatest minds in the business, this is our fastest and most aero Podium to date. Our Advanced Monocoque Molding Process SLP carbon construction creates a sub-900 gram frame that is built for elite competition. Its unique layup uses over 300 individual pieces of carbon laminate, with a mix of characteristics to optimize ride and performance: it’s plenty compliant to go the distance, yet stiff enough for out-of-the saddle climbs and do-or-die sprints. The Continuous Fiber Technology fork and tapered head tube provide unbeatable steering precision, delivering confidence in a nervous peloton or high speed corners. With its unmatched ride quality and a superior build, the Podium Equipe is a world class road race machine.

Overall Quality

As good as the big names, but a better value.

Overall Quality

I knew I wanted SRAM eTap. I knew I wanted disc brakes. I knew I wanted a bike that looked good. I knew I wanted a bike that came with decent wheels I wouldn't have to replace first thing. Check, check, check and check. Great value and a great bike. The ride is smoother than I expected, but still stiff and responds quickly. I changed the saddle to get the comfort I wanted, and the stem to get the fir I needed, and it's just about perfect. I'll probably change the chainrings to make it a compact. My other road bikes are a 2013 Trek Domane and a 2009 Look 566 Origin. The Podium Equipe doesn't give up anything to either of them. Diamondback has been making road bikes for a while, and this is the third one I've owned. Previously I owned a 2011 Podium 6, and a 1989 or 1990 Interval. in 2018 Diamondback continues to be one of cycling's best kept secrets, and unlike Trek, Specialized, Cannondale, Giant, on a group ride, everyone else isn't riding the same bike you are.
