We’re proud of all our aluminum Haanjo models for their capabilities as road bikes with mountain bike attitude. The Diamondback Haanjo 4, however, ups the ante considerably. We took our aluminum frame and added thru-axles front and rear to give it even more precise handling. Next, we added a carbon fork, which pushes the mute button on rough chip-and-seal roads and washboard sections of trail. The component package includes Shimano Ultegra hydraulic disc brakes and drivetrain components for performance, weight savings, and durability. HED Tomcat Disc wheels and grippy WTB Riddler 700x37c tires roll smoothly on pavement but can take plenty of abuse off-road. Potholes, fire roads, wherever you choose to go … the Haanjo 4 says, “Bring it on.”

Excellent Execution, Excellent Ride, Excellent Value

Review by John B
Overall Quality

First off, I have previous version of Haanjo Four which was called Haanjo Trail. The revisions made from going from H Trail to H 4 are all for the good. The main change (a big improvement in my book) is providing with the 32/48 crankset. The H Trail came with 36/46 crankset and I swapped this out in the 1st month. That was September 2017. Since then I have put over 8k (mostly gravel) miles on this awesome rumble pony. The frame geometry works really well to absorb high-frequency, low amplitude vibration. Combined with the thru-axles and 40mm wide Kenda Flintridge tires, the bike is very stable. I knew nothing of Novatec hubs prior to getting the H Trail and they have held up well and there have been no issues. The KMC X11 chains last 1200 to 1400 miles before stretch reaches 0.50%. Aside from replacing a few broken spokes, brake pads, and (just recently) rotors my Haanjo Trail has been almost bulletproof.
