Podium E'tape Disc

* Required Fields

The easiest way to get on a Podium, the E'tape Disc is meant for road riders who want to take their riding to the next level: whether that means upgrading racing categories or improving personal bests.

Built around the same carbon frame, the E'tape shares the ride feel and hand built construction of our other Podiums: from the tapered head tube to the ultra-stiff bottom bracket and compliant seat post and stays, it’s a bike that accelerates quickly and is predictable in turns. The addition of hydraulic disc brakes brings one-finger control, inspiring confidence in descents no matter what the conditions.

With internally-routed cables and the truncated airfoils born in our Serios TT bike program, it feels invisible to the wind, light and quick like a race bike is meant to be. With a full Shimano 105 component group and HED Flanders C2+ wheels, the E'tape offers a level of performance not seen at its price.

Ready Ride bikes are shipped 95 percent assembled. Typical bike assembly is time-consuming and requires technical know-how. Ready Ride reduces the time and skills needed for the final, four-step assembly.

Amazing bike

Not a shill post. I had a 2017 Cannondale hi mod disc supersix evo and it took a dump. I needed a new bike in a hurry, and diamondback was having a sale on this model. It looked too good on paper to be true, so with their return policy I figured why not. 10/10, awesome bike. Zippy, the power goes down, smooth ride, GREAT geometry. Even the stock wheels are light and the bike is very well put together, I like this more than my Cannondale. The shifting is fantastic, the braking is amazing.

Shipped from CA, got to my door in 2 days. The packaging was GREAT, it was super easy to assemble, did it myself in about 1 hour, it almost felt like opening an Apple product. Well done DB. BTW, check the bolts on the crank arms, because mine were loose.

The bike is super compliant, and even the stock HED parts on my E'tape are pretty solid, I really have no reason to upgrade anything, but we know how that ends up....

My only complain is the handlebar drops, how short and awkward they are, and the handlebars are super flexy, but for the amount I spent on it, I have lots of money left over to upgrade to nicer components. Truthfully, when you're in the drops, you're IN THE DROPS, but I can still see why it is a complaint of this bike. Nothing major, however, just an aggressive position when youre in the drops, but you'd probably want that, anyway.

Its an AERO frame and can be ran with relaxed geometry or you can slam them stem because DB includes tons of spacers and room to position it where you like. Standard 1 1/8 steerer, so I changed the stem out right away for something more friendly on my lower back.

I put the stock bike on the scale without pedals and it was tipping the scale at 18-18.4lbs which is impressive. Full hydro disc 105, full shimano, very easy bike to upgrade and the internal cable routing is a breeze to work with unlike other internal cable systems. I am really blown away by this bike. Really. If I would have known, I would have picked up the Vitesse, but I am more than happy with the E'Tape.

Tour proven bike, also!

Holy F***

I purchased this bike to serve as my flagship race bike. I was considering the Podium and the 2018 S-Works Tarmac, with my primary goals being the stiffest bike possible with a decent weight figure. I decided to go with the Podium at the urging of a friend, despite being at the time a Specialized employee. I was shocked. The podium was lightyears stiffer than any bike I'd ever ridden before, including the Tarmac (which was for many years the benchmark of stiffness). The Podium blew me away in other areas too, with an absolutely perfect steering angle that I never had to think about, and an aerodynamic profile that was tangibly faster than my last bike (I also ran all the tube profiles in CFD, Diamondback is one of the few manufacturers that has made actual smart use of the Kamm tail shape). My only gripe out of the box was that the ride was a tad bit stiff in the rear from a compliance standpoint, a wrinkle that is solved immediately with a light drop in tire pressure. I bought the bike with intent to upgrade and am still in the process at doing so, but even as the most affordable model in the range, the Podium E'tape Disc has not left me wanting. I would have been perfectly happy leaving it as is out of the box (speaking of, WHAT AN UNBOXING EXPERIENCE!). I immediately took it on a trip up to Oregon to ride, where the supreme stiffness and handling confidence enabled me to whoop my buddy and his 16k Argonaut bike on some beautiful mountain roads. I've taken it to multiple race wins and (fittingly) many more podiums. This is the ultimate race bike in my opinion, having ridden genuinely hundreds of different models. I can't recommend it highly enough.
