Extremely Good Buy

Review by Robert
Overall Quality

I bought the MB on line and DB had it delivered through a well respected bike shop in Urban Houston near my home. It is a really good looking fast bike. I have owned it for almost 3 months and normally ride 10-15 miles a day about 6 days a week on urban bike trails through the city which are well maintained smooth surfaces. I am 5'10" and bought the large frame- it fits me perfect. I have read in other reviews about the seat being uncomfortable and can confirm it. I have ordered a new seat. Overall, it handles great. The brakes are responsive and do not grab. The gear shifters are conveniently located and easy to navigate. When the bike was delivered, the gears were not in sync so I contacted DB customer service and inquired about taking it back under warranty to have them calibrated. DB Customer Service (Bradley) was helpful as well as responsive and asked me to take it back to bike shop I took delivery and he would see that it is handled. Outstanding service on what I believe is a great bike at an incredibly good price. I like everything about the bike and believe I will love it when the gears are properly calibrated. When completed, this will be a 5 star bike in my opinion.

Great bike for a casual or intermediate rider

Review by ricomontana
Overall Quality

I have owned this bike 6 months as a substitute for a higher end MB needing rehab. If you mainly ride on mid to difficult MB terrains choose a higher end $$$ bike. Would recommend the bike for general use with some reservations noted below.

Pros: Light stiff frame, good finish with comfortable geometry, disc brakes nice upgrade from rim brake style, thumb index shifters are much better than grip type, gel seat not bad for a MB seat.

Cons: Fork shock is worthless, tire and inner tube rubber quality is low and wears/breaks down quickly, rims need more spokes for better stiffness, plastic pedals (really disappointing for this level of bike), no kick stand (common on MB and higher end bikes)

Definitely Awesome

Review by Dback2422

When i first saw this bike i thought this thing is beautiful. i have had it about 5 months . I still love it in every way. the only thing i can complain about it the fork, rims ,and tires the fork should have lockout and adjusting suspension on my fork is always a pain . The rims could be a little stronger as i have had to tru the back rim twice . The tires could be a little more aggressive but other than that it is an amazing bike ill give it a 8/10 overall .

Best Bike I Have Ever Used

Review by Brayd_Ris

I got this bike from my local REI. When i bought it i thought it would be a basic trail bike that i would break the very next day i have bought it. After riding it for around a month i was totally wrong and i should give diamondback some credit. In Vegas there are a lot of challenging trials that you can go on and this bike killed it on the turns and shifting. This did better than my other Co-op bike. However my only complaint is the very uncomfortable seat. Since the seat it wont really hurt unless you ride for around 2 hours. I would rate this a 10/10 for every purpose and the fact that everyday i want to keep on and ride it.

Great bike for the price

Review by Andy_P

This is realistically my introduction to a trail bike. I come from a bmx/dirt jumper background and I feel like I'm pretty hard on bikes and in the past couple months of riding I've had no problems. I can feel the price point of the forks but everything else seems fairly nice for the price of the bike. For a mechanical disc the brakes work pretty well. I haven't felt that I needed any more brake at anytime. I would say its a great bike to learn on and worthy of a few upgrades. Overall I'm very pleased I bought the Overdrive 27.5.

Solid begginer hatdtail

Review by Nathan Daniel

This was my first legitimate mtb. The shock, brakes, and overall performance seem to be up to par with other bikes at this price point. Here are some pros and cons.
Pros
Smooth shifting
About 31lbs
Good looks
Fast
Better than my old walgoose

Cons
Seat is painful in every aspect
In cold weather plastic peddle teeth break
No lockout

Overall I would 100 percent recommend this bike to anyone new to mtb, or even someone who just wants a new bike.

Overall score 9.5/10 (mostly because of the seat)
