Our Catch bikes look forward to the future of mountain biking while keeping the adventurous spirit of the sport’s pioneers alive. The Catch 1 takes our new Level Link suspension platform to that proverbial “next level” by utilizing the 27.5 Plus wheel size. With three-inch wide tires running at low pressure, this bike serves up more grip than has ever been possible with traditional tires.

The aluminum frame features formed tubes for reliable durability and light weight. The geometry provides a slack-but-not-too-slack front end and Level Link rear configuration. 130mm of travel front and rear works with the high-volume tires to deliver traction everywhere: on soft surfaces, loose dirt, technical rocks and roots, anywhere you decide to explore. A 1×11 drivetrain handles all terrain, with SRAM Level hydraulic brakes keep everything under control. For riders who want to go further, this bike is a perfect vehicle.

Ready Ride bikes are shipped 95 percent assembled. Typical bike assembly is time-consuming and requires technical know-how. Ready Ride reduces the time and skills needed for the final, four-step assembly.

Exceeded my expectations

Review by Jonathan
Overall Quality

I’m 37 6’2” 220 wanting to get back into shape and wanting the best bike I could buy for around $1500 since it will be one I plan on keeping for a while. After a couple months of on and off again research of all makes and models of dual suspension bikes I purchased the Catch 1 exactly a month ago tomorrow. I have to say the whole experience has exceeded my expectations. The order process was easy and it was delivered to my house quickly. The bike was professionally packaged with easy to remove straps and had no damage whatsoever to the bike. It was easy to put together and I really appreciated the provided torque wrench, shock pump and pedals. In the last month I have converted the tires to tubeless which was easy with only a minor pinhole in the sidewall of the front tire which sealed up just fine. Also added a dropper post and the internal routing worked well. I have to say this bike is amazing it pedals so well and the plus size tires have traction for days. The only issue I have experienced is a slight notchy feeling during part of the pedal stroke from the non drive side pedal “minor issue” I haven’t had time to look into it yet. Since my purchase of this bike I have recommended diamondback to a couple riding friends of mine who are in the market for a new bike and I would recommend THIS bike to anyone who wants a very well equipped bike for the money that can go anywhere and do anything up or down hill efficiantly. My next bike will be another diamondback!

Heckuva Bike

Review by Craig
Overall Quality

Wow, this is a really nice bike. I underestimated Diamondback bikes. That is, until I bought and rode one. After the easy assembly and adjustments, I took it for a spin and had a smile on my face the whole time. This is a very plush bike. The shock and fork are very nice, even if they are on the lower end. The drive train shifts smoothly and has a nice range of gears. The brakes are quite nice and work well. I even like the saddle, which is something I tend to swap out ASAP. I did convert the bike to tubeless, which has dropped a lot of weight (those tubes are heavy) and something I highly recommend.

I have since rode it several more times since that initial ride and each time this bike puts a smile on my face. I am going to be honest, I have not owned a bike that was this nice out of the box (or at all, really), and I have owned several different brands. Diamondback has really stepped up its game and built some really nice bikes. I feel this bike is the best bang for the buck out there and I researched a lot of bikes before settling on the Catch 1. If Diamondback keeps this up, I think I will be a Diamondback person for life.

Awesome Deal for a great bike!

Review by Darrell
Overall Quality

I purchased this bike for my son, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. We have only put a few hundred miles on this bike, but it has been fantastic. I have added some air to the shocks and ridden it myself, even though I need a bigger bike, I was comfortable, and had a blast. Putting the bike together was easy, and everything works great. I need to have the spokes adjusted at my LBS, but for the savings on this bicycle it is not an issue. The bike handles great, and my son has adapted to his catch 1 easily. After researching and watching video reviews on many brands of bicycles, I choose this Diamondback, and I will be purchasing another for myself.

Great Bike!!

Review by Rick
Overall Quality

I have put almost 1,500 miles on my bike and after a set of tires and a few upgrades, I still enjoy riding this bike every day. The suspension and plus size tires are great for the rocky trails in AZ and that said any trial I have ridden anywhere in the west. I'm just a trail grinder but can still keep up and push any of the other riders in the group.
