Mission 2

Made for riders who are looking to check off as many trails as they possibly can, the Mission 2 is the quintessential all-mountain bike. It all starts with a robust hydroformed aluminum frame with our famous KnuckleBox suspension and a beefy thru-axle, keeping everything solid and flex-free for rough trails and bike park drops. Fox suspension handles the bumps, with a Float 36 fork and Float Evol LV rear shock each providing 160mm of plush travel. The Shimano 1×11 drivetrain stays silent whether you’re pedaling or coasting, free of chain-slap and that pesky front derailleur. Our bomber Blanchard 27.5” wheels and tubeless-ready WTB Vigilante Race tires grab every last bit of traction on the trail, with stopping power coming from Shimano brakes with big 180mm rotors. With a dropper post standard, there really isn’t a bike that competes at this level. The Mission Two is absolutely equipped to exceed your expectations. Ready Ride bikes are shipped 95 percent assembled. Typical bike assembly is time-consuming and requires technical know-how. Ready Ride reduces the time and skills needed for the final, four-step assembly.

Great Bang For Your Buck!

Review by Kayla
Overall Quality

This bike has been awesome so far! I'm about 50 miles in on it and haven't had any issues and love every time I ride. As a busy girl, it had everything I wanted, which was an awesome bike out of the box that didn't require upgrades. 31 lbs makes it good for pedaling with stability on the downhill.

This new model has everything I wish my 2015 model had.

The Shimano components are definitely a required upgrade and improvement from the Sram components that came with my 2015. Especially the brakes.
The Mission 2 is a solidly built ride and handles the abuse a 240 lb rider like myself can throw at it. I prefer the suspension a bit stiffer due to my weight so the ride is not as plush. However, I also set my fork open and the shock to trail for all around riding to help off set this. This helps with pedal efficiency and traction.
I'm an aggressive rider and tend to be abusive to my equipment but other than upgrading the brakes to Shimano, I've only had to lube the chain and components. Virtually indestructible. This new model I'm sure I would give 5+ stars with the Shimano components and 36mm Fox fork but my 2015 model i would rate at 4 star.

Great Entry Level Enduro Bike

Review by Daniel
Overall Quality

The Diamondback Mission 2 surely does not disappoint. It is a great all mountain bike that leans heavily toward the enduro side. With a slack geometry and long chainstay, it is very stable at high speed. This bike can handle some of the most technical downhill bike parks while maintaining a solid climbing ability. I also love the suspension. Unless I am downhilling and have the fork and shock completely open, I leave the fork open, but set the shock to the trail setting. This increases pedaling efficiency significantly. Although the chain never comes off, I would recommend adding a chainguide if you will be riding at high speed on bumpy terrain. It offers peace of mind, especially during races.

This bike is fantastic, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to get into enduro racing.
