Haanjo 2

* Required Fields

Most of us don’t have the space to assemble a massive quiver of bikes. Then again, versatility is appealing. And if you own the Diamondback Haanjo 2, you don’t actually need a quiver of bikes. Hoping to hit the road on a touring bike? Load up your gear with the Haanjo 2’s front and rear rack mounts. Want a fast, reliable commuter bike? We’ve included fender mounts to keep you riding into work when the clouds roll in and send less intrepid types scurrying for their minivans. With wide 700x38c tires to smooth out rough roads, the Haanjo 2 is also a fun and capable road bike in its own right — quick, snappy, and yet comfortable on all-day rides.

Good Value

Overall Quality

Good value with free shipping to my door. Assembly was dead simple and the packaging was impressive. This thing is pretty fun and fits the bill for my intention which is commuting with some light gravel riding thrown in. Bike is fairly heavy (mine is 26lbs with pedals) but feels a bit lighter than that while riding. Feels like the fork weighs proportionately more than 'normal' when picking it up. This bike replaces my former commuter bike that weighed a bit less but was a flat bar hybrid. It feels faster than that bike already and will improve when I swap tires. It handles great, very predictable and stable. Tires are slow rolling and heavy (I took them off to inspect wheels for filings, etc.), will upgrade after they wear out. My use is primarily commuting in foul weather (Seattle) so I mounted fenders which are easy to fit with mounting points galore. I really like the color, others commented they either love it or hate it. It is bright. Saddle is not bad for me but not great either. It will pass as a commuter mount for sure but if I ever take it on a long gravel ride I may have to put something else on it that fits me better. But saddles are that way- what works for me may or may not work for others. Bar tape is thick and comfortable. Mine is a 50cm, I'm 5'7" and it feels very comfortable with a upright position and short reach. Stem is almost hilariously short on the 50cm but works well with my size and use. It will help with sketchy gravel riding stability I would think. Gearing is low (46T) on the big ring which is nice, but the small ring is 34T which doesn't match the 'low' of the big ring by comparison for those into climbing. The Claris shifting is dead-on and reasonably quick (my road bike is Ultegra and is of course better, but not by THAT much). The front derailer did need quite a bit of tweaking to get it to shift properly and especially not to rub after shifting to the big ring, but was simple to adjust if you are good with bikes. That was really the only thing I needed to work on after assembly. Everything else was as it should be. Wheels are true and seem to be tensioned evenly, we'll see how they fair after more miles. They spin smooth but feel heavy. The tires are muddling that feeling of course. I only have about 150 easy mostly street and some light gravel rail-trail miles on bike so far so can't comment on overall durability other than to say so far, so good. Would recommend for a beginner gravel/commuter bike.

There were some expected design issues — a sharply turned wheel hits my foot — and the Groupon is mediocre and doesn’t stay in tune very well. The bolts on the front brake rotor were massively over-torqued; two ended up getting stripped. I don’t know if the rotor arrived bent or got dinged in a crash. Now I’m off to my LBS to have them try to fix it. I should’ve gone with them from the get-go.

What a great bike. I changed the seat due to im a big guy. Besides that i just put it together which was pretty easy since its mostly put together. Very comfortable, fast and smooth. Im very impressed. If your looking for one bike and dont get to off road then this is your bike. I have three! Two are diamondbacks. Unless your just a road warrior then this bike will be all u need. Spend the money and u wont be disappointed. Diamond back bikes are top notch... Dont let the price foul u. I was looking to get a full road bike after this but not now. I really like this bike a lot. Did i mention SMOOTH??? So balanced also. Great job Diamondback!!! Great job!!
