Edgewood (2017)

* Required Fields

The Edgewood combines the same relaxed contact points and geometry of a comfort bike with the smooth-rolling 700c wheels of a road bike. The aluminum alloy frame has a low standover height for easy on/off and classic geometry for a predictable and stable ride. The suspension fork and seatpost add an extra layer of cushioning, and the 21-speed drivetrain gives you plenty of gears to get you through any terrain. An adjustable stem helps you dial in your preferences even further. With plenty of traction from wide tires and hassle-free brakes, it really is as simple as getting on and pedaling. With a ton of utility for the price, it's not hard to see why the Edgewood is a favorite.

Poor Quality

I bought this bike a few weeks ago for my girlfriend at one of our local bike shops. While I've been riding for fitness for quite some time now she's pretty new to riding and we wanted to start off with an affordable bike that'd be good for beginners. We chose this one because she loved the comfort of the seat, it has suspension shocks on the front fork for some of our mor bumpy trails, and the price. But after having it for about 2-3 weeks of mostly riding .25 miles from our home to our community garden the bike was just not living up to expectations. Somehow the front wheel got bent. While the guys at the bike shop said it's due to some sort of impact I know how she rides. She's not hard on her bike at all, isn't riding off of things, and isn't crashing into things. But even if she did any of these things just a little bit, the wheel shouldn't have bent so easily and so quickly. In addition, something was going on with the back brake which was causing it to scratch the back wheel up and interfere with how well it brakes. Luckily it began to fall apart within 30 days of purchasing and we were able to return it back to the store for a full refund. I'll never by this brand and will stick to higher quality ones. Will I now need to spend a couple extra hundred dollars to replace this bike? Sure. But if it lasts for years to decades, it's well worth it.

Absolute quality in both comfort as well as performance

I've had this bike the better part of a month now. It has been without a doubt the best bike I've ever owned. It is comfortable in all conditions, its quiet and easy to bring into perfect adjustment for my riding style. I was pedaling in traffic a few days ago and the speeds I was reaching surprised me and with very little effort. The shifters work seamlessly and to me this bike is simply the greatest investment I have made of this kind. Diamondback rules!

I'm a 2-3 times a week rider on city paths. I bought my first DB Edgewood about 12 years ago not knowing about bike sizes just that I wanted a good hybrid bike. The old bike has lasted hundreds of miles with very little maintenance. I bought the new one so I could get the right size and still have the features I enjoy so much on the first bike. I've ridden about 20 miles on this bike so far and I'm super pleased. The easy shifters are perfect and the bike rides comfortably. It's a great choice if you aren't into the small seat and stiff ride of a road bike or don't need the heavy suspension of a mountain bike.

Very nice bike

Light weight, great adjustments, easy to ride, I can't stay off it. I'm an elderly man of 70, I've had bypass surgery and need to stay in shape. I have a coaster brake bike, but it didn't provide the resistance I needed. The 21 gear (speed) options gives me an easy ride or a muscle building work out. I recommend this bike for young and old. The price won't leave you short an the end of the month.
