USA Pro Challenge Rider to Watch: Carter Jones

Tuesday, August 19, 2014 10:51:00 AM Categories: Optum Pro Cycling Optum Pro Cycling Team USA Pro Challenge

Carter Jones has had a heck of a season. With a seventh place overall at the Tour of Utah earlier this month, he’s a genuine threat for podium appearances at this week's USA Pro Challenge in Colorado. Of all the stages in the seven day race we've picked stage 3, with its mountain top finish, as one prime for Carter to show his climbing prowess. Many riders in the Pro Challenge peloton will be unequipped to deal with the summit finish at 11,000+ feet; Carter, living and training in Boulder, Colorado at nearly 5,300 feet will suffer, but less so than many in the bunch.
