He loves surfing, snowboarding, bass guitar, and doing wheelies. Over the years he’s broken his femur, tibia, collarbone, finger, and gotten 30-plus stitches in his face. He's Kelly McGarry, Diamondback DF5 team member.
Every year, the Diamondback DF5 Team makes a grand journey in search of glowing light, epic lines and good times. This year we also incorporated an event into it, a media blitz and here’s pretty much how it all went down...
New Zealand native Kelly McGarry, Diamondback DF5 team member, touched down on North American soil this weekend, ready for the upcoming race season. We’re stoked to have him back and just a little envious of his “winter” in his homeland.
We are missing our good friend and DF5 team member Kelly McGarry while he's down in New Zealand escaping winter, so we thought we'd check in and get his thoughts on "winter."
After a 6 month trip of globe bouncing, huck sending ,couch surfing, comp riding mountain bike madness... I've finally made it back to good ol New Zealand. Its good to have a place to live , a car, and to catch up with all my Kiwi buddys who have been freezing their butts off while I was enjoying the northern hemisphere summer ...suckers haha!
Diamondback DF5 team rider Kelly Mcgarry gives us an overview of the gravity inspired 2013 Scapegoat at the Diamondback 2013 product launch in Park City Utah. The Scapegoat is the long travel freeride offering from Diamondback; and is built to take some serious abuse. With a weapons grade aluminum frame, knuckle box suspension technology, and a top of the line parts spec it is truly a shred ready ride. It is Kelly's bike of choice from the DB lineup, and here he explains why. Like what you see?
Diamondback DF5 riders Kelly McGarry and Eric Porter took an epic adventure last fall through the cavernous Green River in UT. The team navigated 68 miles between the towns of Green River and Mineral Bottom armed with a map, their bikes and a camera crew.
The town of Green River, Utah has been on the MTB radar for over 10 years now. Many riders and film crews have come to this remote location searching for new and unique terrain to ride. In an attempt to access areas that had never seen a bike tire, Diamondback DF5 team riders Eric Porter and Kelly McGarry teamed up with Bike Magazine, and a rambling crew of media misfits to go on a different kind of bike trip. Using human powered whitewater rafts they made their way down the Green River, into the unknown, searching for the unridden.. This is what went down.
Diamondback riders, Eric Porter and Kelly McGarry, take you on a tour of the trailside bike park flow trail in Park City, Utah. Wallrides, table tops and berms await riders on this fun, gravity-fed trail.
