The 2012 Clarity 3 performance hybrid is a top of the line bike aimed to please those who commute, train exercise, or are simply looking for a smooth riding bike to recreate on. If we liken the Clarity 3 performance hybrid to a sports car; the Clarity 3 is the special-ordered model with all of the options. But the basis of all of this is the Clarity 6061-T6 Butted Aluminum Performance Hybrid frame with a formed/hooded top tube, an integrated headtube, and vertically compliant stays (VCS).

Fit specifically for the frame is a Clarity Integrated Alloy aero straight blade fork keeping your ride smooth, stable and precise. Shimano kits the Clarity out in style with FCM-411 Alivio cranks (26/36/48t), Rapid Fire 8 speed shifters, and front and rear derailleurs. A Shimano HG51 8spd Cassette (11-30t) and KMC Z82 chain round out the drive train to complete a perfect pedaling and shifting machine.

Low spoke count wheels offer a light weight and aesthetically pleasing wheelset sporting a 20spoke front/ 24 spoke rear Equation R17 Aero Doublewall rim with a machined braking surface, 14 guage stainless steel spokes, alloy hubs and Kenda Kwick Trax puncture resistant 700×28c tires.

Avid SD-3 linear pull brakes afford a fair amount of stopping power sure to keep you out of harm’s way. The rest of the cockpit is proprietary Diamondback alloy with an oversized 31.8mm handlebar and 3D Forged 7° stem to give the appropriate rise for maximum steering control and comfort.

A DB Performance Hybrid saddle with gel sits atop a 27.2 alloy micro adjust seat post offering an exceptionally comfortable ride whether that be in your next cause ride or simply around the block.
